Laura NEISLER
Laura Neisler has been a member of the KVSO since 2007. She has studied with Rob Botti (New York Philharmonic), Scott Holstetler (Chicago Symphony) and John Dee (Florida Philharmonic/University of Illinois). She received her Bachelor’s of Music Education degree (K-12) from the University of Illinois in 2006 and a Master’s of Music Performance from the same institution in 2007. Laura is currently serving as adjunct faculty for the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL in Applied Oboe. Along with being principal oboist for the KVSO, she is also a member of the KVSO Woodwind Quintet and the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra. She is a past member of the West Suburban Symphony Orchestra, the West Suburban Chamber Orchestra and the West Suburban Festival Orchestra. She has also played with the Joliet Symphony Orchestra, Quincy Symphony Orchestra, Kankakee Civic Band, Joliet American Legion Band, Northern Illinois University Wind Symphony, Quincy Concert Band, Wheaton Municipal Band and New Lennox Community Band. She has previously been featured as soloist with the Quincy Symphony Orchestra (Haydn Oboe Concerto) and the KVSO (Mozart Oboe Quartet, Cimarosa Oboe Concerto).
