DESCRIPTION:Our 2024-2025 Season Finale! This All-Orchestra program\, focused on Light in the form of moving from darkness to light\, will again feature the KVSO Chorus. This time\, they will join the KVSO for a performance of Elaine HAGENBERG’s Illuminare with texts taken from St. Ambrose\, Hildegard von Bingen\, Aurelius Clemens\, Pope Gregory\, The Gospel of John and the Canticle of Zecharia. The orchestra will conclude its season with two masterpieces: Johannes BRAHMS’ Variations on a Theme by Haydn and Jean SIBELIUS’ Symphony No. 2 in D Major. \nOnline ticket ordering is no longer available for this event. DESCRIPTION:NEW to the KVSO\, a series of FREE pre-concert discussions!\n\n\n\nThese discussions will take place 45 minutes prior to each performance and provide audience members with an opportunity to learn more about the composers\, selections\, orchestra\, and soloists as well as ask questions of and interact with our Music Director and Conductor and guest artists. \n\n\n\nOur season of “Hope” concludes on April 6th with exhilarating performances of Antonin Dvorak’s Carnival Overture\, Richard Strauss’ French horn Concerto No. 1 with guest artist Emily Whittaker and Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 in D Major. Please join us as we conclude a season full of hope and look forward to an exciting future featuring orchestral gems\, fresh new soloists and something for the entire family.
